This is a writing contest. There is no restriction on genre or length. Any artists interested in participating please note me, you can volunteer your services for prizes (but more on that later)

Guidelines:

1) You must use AT LEAST ONE of the characters provided. You can use as many as you like and you can use characters not listed here. One catch, the characters based on the sketches in the list must be original. If you have a blonde elf girl you already use in stories, she can be in the story but she cannot be the blonde girl from the sketches.

2) You must, as always, note me with your entry when it's done, or at least comment on this journal entry. All entries will be listed in my next journal that will announce the end of the contest and the beginning of the judging. And, all entries will be faved!!

Judging:

Of course, I will be one of the judges. I may get my sister to help me with the judging if she has time.
The judging will be based on the following categories. Creativity, readabilty (typos, spelling errors in simple words, that sort of thing), use of at least one character, and enjoyability.

Prizes (UPDATED!!):
Prizes may yet be added. The only changes will come if I get some donated prizes. ARTISTS, this is where you come in. If you want to donate your time in drawing a picture for a prize, or wish to donate prints, please contact me before the closing date.

4th- a drawing of their main character from their story
3rd- a drawing of their main character plus a drawing of their choosing
2nd- a portrait of their main character in any medium they want, plus two extra drawings
1st- a portrait of their main character in any medium they want, plus two extra pictures in any medium they want, PLUS has agreed to publish the winning story in the upcoming supersized 1-year anniversary edition of Lost Cause Quarterly coming in October!!!!!
